"Докато има бедни и богати, управляващи и управлявани, няма да има мир, нито мирът ще бъде желан, защото такъв мир ще бъде основан на политическо, икономическо и социално неравенство за милиони човешки същества, които страдат от глад, безчинства, затвор и смърт, докато малко малцинство се наслаждава на всякакви видове удоволствия и свободата да не правят нищо"

Sofia court releases from custody man accused of spraying anti-Le Pen message

The Sofia District Court has released from custody a 22-year-old man charged with hooliganism for allegedly spray-painting on the Soviet Army Monument in the Bulgarian capital city a message against French far-right politician Marine Le Pen.

The man was arrested at about 11pm on November 15 after the message “Refugees welcome – Le Pen go home” was sprayed on the monument in central Sofia. The incident occurred on the eve of Le Pen participating in a conference of far-right and populist parties from around Europe in the Bulgarian capital to agree on a strategy for the May 2019 European Parliament elections.

Bulgarian media said that it was notable to press a serious charge against the man, who if found guilty could face up to five years in prison. The charge laid against him is generally lodged against those who commit acts involving violence or major breaches of the peace.

After his arrest, police first took him into 24-hour custody, and after an investigation by prosecutors, he was ordered into 72-hour custody.

Authorities in Sofia some months ago stepped up security around the Soviet Army Monument, which dates from Bulgaria’s communist era and commemorates the Soviet invasion in 1944 that opened the way for that era. In recent years, it has been a frequent canvas for political graffiti and for calls for it to be taken down, to the annoyance of the Russian embassy.

Situation in Bulgaria remains critical. Armed gypsies ready to defend themselves

On 24.9.2011 in the village of Katunica a young 18 years old boy was run over with a bus by a group of gangsters. They belonged to the criminal organization of Kiril Rashkov a.k.a King Kiro. Immediately people of the village gathered in a protest, they attacked some of the cars (including luxury cars) of the so called "king". There were some information that people found in one of the cars documents from police that allow to King Kiro to move everywhere without being stopped. Another boy (16 years old) died on the protest because he had weak heart. Police try to defend the property of the criminal boss. Soon a lot of football hooligans and fascists from Plovdiv arrived in Katunica. Some of the luxury houses of King Kiro was burned. Police helped King Kiro and his people to flee.

Why fascist scum joined so fast? Because King Kiro has gypsy origin. In the next day there were anti-gypsy demonstrations in some bulgarian towns. Some politicians and all the fascist scum tried to present the incident like a racial conflict. In some cities gypsy's communities were attacked.

But the anti-fascist mood is still strong in Bulgaria. You can see in the video bellow that gypsies in the ghetto Stolipinovo in Plovdiv have armed themselves and are ready to defend against nazi scum. One gypsy man from the video said that:

"Till yesterday we lived like brothers - bulgarians, gypsies, turkish people. Now they want to attack us but we will defend ourselves".

In Sofia a group of anarchists and anti-fascist activists organized almost immediately after the incident. They distributed some leaflets on the streets of Sofia and talked with people explaining that this is social conflict not racial! Rich gangsters (protected by police) against ordinary people. Not gypsies against bulgarians. A lot of ordinary bulgarians agree with them.

In the same video people of Katunica said that they are not against gypsies, they are only against King Kiro and warned politicians not to turn it into racial war. People also said that other gypsies in the village (not part of the King Kiro criminal organization) came to support them in their sorrow and people are grateful for that.

Situation still remains critical. Is it the start of an ethnical conflict or the start of a social war against the state that protects rich criminals?

Revolutionary Benghazi of today is like revolutionary Madrid of the past

It is hard to find objective information about what is going on in Libya. All official medias are propaganda machines from one end of the spectrum to the other – from Fox News to Al Jazeera. But despite manipulations more and more I get the feeling that revolutionary Benghazi of today is like revolutionary Madrid of the time of the civil war in Spain.

Here I have some news reports from RT, which is somewhere in the middle of the info war. This television is serving the interests of the government of Russia and they do manipulates too – at the beginning of the conflict they broadcasted a news report that russian military satellites has proven that Gaddafi has not used military airplanes and no bombardment took place. At the same time all others TVs showed the destruction from bombardments and even Gaddafi’s forces admitted that they used planes (they claimed only against warehouses with ammunitions). But in the last week this TV showed rebels as well so that is why I put them in the middle of the propaganda spectrum.

Every day the situation is getting worse for the rebels as Gaddafi forces are getting closer and closer to Benghazi. In the city one can feel the desperation but also revolutionary determination to fight till the end – just as once upon a time these feeling where common for Madrid as fascist hordes approached.

In this news report we can see who are the real rebels and they (surprise, surprise!) are not CIA agents neither mercenaries of imperialism, they are quite young people who never ever used a weapon before. It is clear that they are doing this in the name of their ideals not in the name of money supposedly given to them by USA as some “left” intellectuals claim.

News agencies in Bulgaria repeated non-stop that the leaders of oppositions are people who have been with Gaddafi till recently and even the minister of justice is there – he is guilty for the torturing of some bulgarian medics before some years. Yes, it is true! So what? Always the scumbags try to get on top of people movement. And yes – this is another similarity with revolutionary Spain. While anarchists fought on the frontline and people organized collectives in villages, in the government of republican Spain there were bourgeois elements and stalinists controlled by Moscow who even worked against the revolution. Make clear distinction between people on the streets of Benghazi and the self-proclaimed “leaders” who visit non-stop Europa, Paris, European parliament…

Let see what are the weapons of the rebels…

These are civilian cars quickly turned into primitive war vehicles. These are no match for tanks and airplanes of Gaddafi. Nothing new – soldiers defending revolution in Spain were short of weapons too.

Also I want to remind about the great intellectual and cultural development is Spain in the time of the revolution. People awaked – they organized demonstrations, printed newspapers, composed revolutionary songs, theatre groups roamed the country. The same can be seen in Benghazi. The most passionate art is born from the anger of the youth – they started to draw cartoons, a rap song became the unofficial anthem of the revolution…

When civil war in Spain started, a weapon embargo was applied, today they are talking about “no fly zone” in Libya.

When war in Spain started, thousands organized solidarity demonstrations all around the world, many people went to Spain as volunteers. Today once again people organize demonstrations this time in solidarity with freedom fighters of Libya. Young people from Egypt are organizing transportation of medical stuff and other things to the rebels.

The last similarity between revolutionary Benghazi and revolutionary Madrid may be very sad. The revolution in Spain ended in blood, Franco, the dictator crushed all desires for freedom. Will Benghazi end in bloodbath ? I hope not but chances are not on the side of the rebels fighting for freedom…

Antifa action in Sofia (25.02.2011)

Around 30 young people blocked road traffic for 20 minutes in the evening of 25 February 2011 in one of the most busy street in Sofia.

This action was taken after one immigrant was beaten by neo-nazis (you can see him at 1:29 at the video). While he was going home he was surrounded by a group of fashists, hit in the head and when he has felt on the ground they started to kick him for several minutes. He is in Bulgaria from 8 years and he fled Afghanistan after talibans promised to kill him because some of his relatives cooperated with anti-taliban forces. This is the 7th time that he is attacked by fascists in Bulgaria.

Antifa demo in Sofia against neo-nazi march

Around 30 people gathered in an antifa demo as a counter-demonstration against "Lukov march" - annual demonstration of Bulgarian National Union (BNS), one of the main neo-nazi groups in Bulgaria.

General Hristo Lukov was an army general born in 1888 and one of the first supporters of Hitler in Bulgaria. He was shot dead in 1943 by left urban guerrillas.

BNS is a bulgarian neo-nazi group. They try to present themselves like patriots not like fascists but it is just a smoke screen. They act together with openly-fascist groups like "Blood & Honor" and "National Resistance". They attack gays and gipsies.

Pupils in Bulgaria’s Sliven hold protest

Sliven. More than 500 pupils have gathered outside the building of the local government in the southern town of Sliven to hold a protest and insist on a longer Christmas holiday, FOCUS – Sliven Radio reports.
However, the protest turned into a riot, with the pupils hurling eggs, plastic containers and smoke bombs at the building of the municipality. The police detained the pupils who were throwing the smoke bombs. Some of the participants in the protests dissociated themselves from their riotous peers and said the violent behavior had not been initially planned.
The pupils said that they would not go to school on January 3, when their Christmas holiday is supposed to be over.

Code "Red" declared in bulgarian post offices after someone sent a suspicious letter to the ambassador of Israel

Bulgarian post offices declared code "Red" after someone sent suspicious package to the ambassador of Israel and after the wave of letter-bombs in neighbouring Greece. This is the highest alert code. After several hours news agencies reported that the police did not find a bomb in the suspicious package. No more information about this case is available right now - what was in the letter if not bomb and from where it was sent - Greece or Bulgaria. Police announced that for the last four months they have found 41 weapons hidden in post packages including one army grenade.

The Gay Pride Parade in Belgrade, Serbia

These are some thoughts about the gay parade in Belgrade. This is written by a person who lives close to Serbia and this text represents only her opinion.

The first successful gay pride parade took place in Serbia despite the attacks with stones and bombs from the homophobes. Around 1000 people participated. In previous years all such events were cancelled with brutal violence.

It seems clear that the success of this year parade was because of the government support and massive police presence. It is clear why government gave its support - they want to please their new "partners" from Western Europe and USA. But all this do not put a black spot on the fact that a lot of ordinary people with homosexual or heterosexual orientation walk on Belgrade streets and said clear - "YES to diversity, NO to fascism and homophobia".

My solidarity IS NOT FOR the police who faced the heavy rain of stones from "Serbian patriots" and a lot of them were seriously hurt (reports said about 90 policemen were injured). Policemen did not put themselves in danger because they feel sympathy toward gays, they did this because they are paid to follow orders. Even best or worst police act is done for money with less and less emotions - just like robocops. The policeman of the future with have no emotions at all so he can do his "professional duties" at his best.

My solidarity IS NOT FOR the politicians who supported the gay parade. They just lick asses of their western masters and tomorrow if they find a stronger master, they will turn to 180 degrees. For example if Iran become a super-power (a disaster scenario for humankind), a lot of governments and politicians will change direction. Then how much of today politicians who praise democracy and tolerance toward gays will keep doing this ? A lot of them will quickly start to praise "Iranian model".

My solidarity IS FOR ordinary people of Serbia - gays or not, who year after year do not stop to struggle despite threats and serious beatings. These people deserve full support because they will keep fighting for their ideas no matter if police protect them or beat them and no matter if they have the support of a "pro-democratic" government or they are repressed by a "pro-taliban" Serbian rule.

I saw a proud anarchist flag on the gay pride parade so the only thing I can say is: "Револуционарни поздрав, другови!" (Revolutionary greetings, comrades!)

Some unreported news from Bulgaria - Summer 2010

03.06.2010 - Jewelry shop in Sofia was robbed by only one man. He made it not in the night but in a bright day. How can one guess it is so easy to rob a jewelry shop, lol ?

30.08.2010, Sofia - A roma man (gypsy) managed to hit a policeman with a brick.

Political party "Ataka" (Attack) is the biggest right-wing party in Bulgaria. It is in the bulgarian parliament and in european parliament too and a lot of its younger members are fascists. But there are some resistance against them as well.

28.08.2010 in city of Varna, an office of the party "Ataka" was robbed.

07.09.2010 in city of Burgas, a shop belonging to "Ataka" was set on fire.

But fascism and fascists are on high rise in Bulgaria. On 06.06.2010 fascists beat down some left activists. Some fascists were arrested but latter released and it looks they will not be send in court. Same fascists organized a demonstration against roma people. Others right-wing nuts and priests organized demonstration demanding christianity to return to class rooms. WTF ?! This is not Talibania, this is Bulgaria and religion should stay away from school.

18.09.2010 Fortunately there was a pro-roma protest too. After France deported some roma people back to Bulgaria, some people organized this protest - a lot of ethnic bulgarians supported roma people too.
